I interviewed an agent and had a long discussion with Nightshade, who has extensive experience in sugar daddies and considers herself a great negotiator (sorry, sister-in-law, I know you definitely won't see this). First, if you want to "sugar daddy" an actress, the first question you'll encounter is "how to do it?"—That's right, there are many ways to "sugar daddy," it just depends on how you want to do it. A cheaper way is to pay a sum of money to buy out her vagina. She can do whatever she wants, she can work, she can even work as a hostess, but she can't sleep with other people anymore.

How is this calculated? Generally, it's about 4 to 5 times the price of a single sexual encounter. That means if the actress earns 100,000 yen per encounter in the sex industry, you'd need to give her about 400,000 to 500,000 yen (20,000 to 25,000 RMB) per month. The two of you can have sex once a week. This kind of arrangement is relatively flexible; frankly, it's a fixed transaction without much emotional commitment. However, this kind of arrangement is prone to problems. Men are driven by sex, and the more their bodies heal, the easier it is for them to develop feelings. But this arrangement, which only covers sexual intercourse and not her living expenses, means you can't let any feelings get involved. However, it's easy to overstep the initial understanding between the two parties. This really requires careful consideration, because it's definitely not a small sum: just the "housing" aspect is a complex matter. But finding a decent place for an actress to live would cost at least 1.5 million yen (75,000 RMB) a year. Then there are other expenses, depending on how you calculate them. You want her to be unable to work, unable to be petty and let you do whatever you want, unable to take care of herself and completely accepting your arrangements—according to agents, to pay such a price for actresses, even a well-known actress would likely cost at least 10 million yen (500,000 RMB). Then, adding the rent and other expenses mentioned earlier, it could reach 20 million yen (1 million RMB) a year.
And this is just for "well-known actresses." Top actresses in the industry earn far more than that, unless you're as handsome as a young Andy Lau and have a face that rivals Wu Zongxian's. She's incredibly good at bluffing; otherwise, if you offered that price to Yua Mikami or Arina Shin, you'd definitely be kicked out for not being sincere...
Of course, some might think that desperate actresses might accept very low prices, but let me remind you, the prerequisite for an actress to accept being kept is that she "won't starve." In Tokyo, where life is relatively comfortable, that's at least 250,000 yen per month (12,000 RMB). So unless you're talking about a group-buying price, don't think of actresses as cheap. You have to consider Tokyo's cost of living; no one will accept a price that would starve them.
