Not only is the evil empire S1 celebrating its 15th anniversary, but another studio known as the idol dream factory, IdeaPocket, is also celebrating its 20th anniversary!
On December 15th, this adult video company will be hosting a joint meet-and-greet with seven actresses. Led by Tsubasa Amane, who has withdrawn her retirement announcement, the lineup includes veteran beauty Jessica Kizaki, celebrating her 10th anniversary in the industry; best newcomer Momo Sakura; the new generation's "goddess of breasts," Mia Masaka; the strongest beautiful girl in history, Nanami Misaki; the 2016 AV Open's main actress, Minami Aizawa; and the relatively new debutant, Nono Yuuki. The lineup is truly impressive!
But did you notice one actress is missing?
That's Kana Momono!
It's not really that strange, since there was an Ebisu Muscats concert that day, so it's perfectly normal for Momonogi not to attend. But seriously, even without other work, can IdeaPocket really turn the Big Dipper into the Eight Immortals crossing the sea? I'm quite skeptical...
Why? As Kana Momonogi (桃乃木香奈) becomes increasingly idol-like, while she still participates in activities, her collaborations with production companies are gradually decreasing. We can see this directly from the image below:
As you may have noticed, from July to now... Kana Momonogi has only had four events, one of which, the "Momo-sanpo BD Release Commemorative Live," was unrelated to the production company. The event held in Sapporo recently was a make-up event after the Hokkaido earthquake in September, meaning she's only collaborated with production companies on two events since the summer holidays. Looking further back, she only had events in late May and early January. It's rather strange that such a popular AV actress has so few collaborations with production companies.
However, she isn't completely inactive. She's holding concerts, releasing CDs, and launching a photobook. So, the truth is, this top-tier actress is making great strides towards becoming an idol, deliberately distancing herself from the AV actress title. Therefore, while she's very popular and has many fans, and doesn't need to worry about selling out her meet-and-greets, her collaborations with AV production companies have actually decreased.
But will she leave the AV industry once she's completed her idol career? I don't think there's anything to worry about. For her, the work of an AV actress isn't demanding and she has a fixed income every month, so there's no need for her to quit, unless, unless she can reach the level of Asuka Kirara, then she'll probably stop doing it.
