In 2012, this actress apparently debuted under the name Kikuchi Miiru (菊池美彩). Photos of her working as a reader model (meaning an amateur model hired by a magazine) can still be found online; after a brief stint as a dancer, she entered the sex industry, working as a hostess, a handgun girl, and even being offered sexual services. Her Instagram account even features posts about quitting her job to do something big.
As a result, she became a newcomer in the AV industry. While her background is extensive and varied, with many uncertainties, I honestly doubt that Hinata Marin is a true entertainer, especially considering that Yua Mikami is releasing an adult film in the same industry, making this newcomer seem incredibly experienced. Of course, I wasn't the only one who thought this way; Japanese fans were even harsher.
I won't post anything too emotional, but in short, unless there's some unknown identity, the title of "former entertainer" for Hinata Marin is probably only possible because S1 has set very, very high standards for her. Frankly, she reminds me of Asou Nozomi when she first debuted. Both are tall and have large breasts, though there's suspicion of artificial enhancement. Both also have darker skin tones. However, Asou Nozomi has a more innocent and shy air about her, and her looks are a bit better (compared purely to when she first debuted). I find it strange that while some of the promotional photos have a certain star quality (not in a cheesy way), S1 chose the same photo for Izumi Yuri (泉百合) on the cover: one where she's practically squinting in bright sunlight, her eyes barely open. How can anyone look at a photo like that, with her eyes half-closed and her features all scrunched up?
