Of all the films that have decriminalized Black content, this one has the most bizarre plot!
Why do I say that? What's so difficult about making a Black film? Just find a male actor and make the female actor eat his chocolate bar, right? But this film, "The Widow Seeking a Black Man," starring Honoka Yonekura, is a bit odd:
The production company is KANBi, which explains it—they're known for their unbanning of Black actors, and as a studio specializing in mature women, they're bound to include some plot elements. In the film, Yonekura plays a woman whose husband died in a car accident. After months of living in a daze, she encounters Michael, her former English teacher (the Black man everyone knows). Under his devoted care, she gradually opens her heart, regains her smile, and even embraces the advances of a "chocolate bar" (a euphemism for sexual intercourse)...
The plot sounds good, so what's wrong with it?
But River, Honoka Yonekura is a breastfeeding actress!
Did you notice something was off? Looking at the first few stills, you might think Honoka Yonekura's breasts are round and plump like softballs, but that's not a silicone shape; they're filled with breast milk. Because she's a mother earning money for baby formula, the "widow" setting in this work feels very strange on her. We can certainly imagine her husband being alive or dead, her having a child, and breastfeeding so much that she still had milk for months after becoming a widow, but thinking so much while watching AV is exhausting. Blood should be concentrated in the corpora cavernosa, not in the brain for us to think clearly.
However, Honoka Yonekura's unbanning is truly fantastic. She's another breastfeeding actress to eat a chocolate bar after Nozomi Haneda (formerly Nozomi Hazuki). Watching her swallow and spit out the black man's chocolate bar, squeaking from the impact, and having her milk spray everywhere is incredibly eye-catching. It's not just the strong contrast in skin tone between the male and female actors, but also the milk spray, that makes it different from typical unbanning films.
It's so wonderful to see this work while she still has milk.
