So, why don't the actresses show up?
Those who follow Japanese event information know that AV actresses are probably the most unpredictable creatures in the world. Events are canceled all the time: sometimes it's because the actress is genuinely unwell, sometimes it's because there aren't enough applicants to avoid embarrassment, sometimes it's because the actress's phone is off or unreachable, and there are many other blah blah blah reasons that are not commonly known:
And in the events that were canceled or almost canceled before, do you know what the most absurd reason we've heard is?
The answer is: your passport has expired, and you cannot board the plane!
I initially thought it was just a perfunctory excuse, but later I discovered it was true. The strange thing was that the actress knew this but refused to change her passport, which made me realize the reason:
So I pressed her for details, and the answer was quite unexpected: it turned out that whenever the actress changed her passport, her surname would change, and the supervisor and crew would notice she was married or divorced (married women take their husband's surname, divorced women revert to their original surname). Therefore, she absolutely refused to change her passport. Since passport checks at the film set were only to verify identity and confirm the actress wasn't a minor, an expired passport wasn't a big problem, so she forgot about it, almost causing the event to be canceled.
This is a situation we don't usually encounter, but it reflects that in the AV industry, not only do many actresses have boyfriends, but some are also married or divorced. Although the photo shoot has gone from its first year to its 50th, we still need to learn, as unexpected situations always arise…
