A boss who was interested in her (not sexually) asked me this. Without hesitation, I answered, "Absolutely not. In fact, she's more serious than people think."
I wasn't saying this to win her business, because Yua Mikami's problem has always been her high price tag; most companies back out after hearing her quote. But I wasn't exaggerating. Yua Mikami's work ethic is serious. Or should I put it this way? Those top-tier actresses in the industry take their work very seriously. Even if they're not easy to approach, and you know their smiles are just a mask, you'll never hear a client say they're "not serious" or "act like a diva"...

At a recent event, Tenshi Moe and Takahashi Shoko demonstrated what seriousness truly means. It was an event where a gaming operator invited them to deal cards. Tenshi Moe not only had her manager record all the tips and tricks during practice, but she also constantly reviewed the recordings before actually playing, analyzing what she could have done better. Takahashi Shoko was no less dedicated; she not only practiced diligently but also had her manager compare her performance with Tenshi's to see who performed better. I even felt she was putting too much pressure on herself. Even Hashimoto Arina, known for her delicate image, has recently become incredibly efficient. Her manager couldn't help but say, "My girl sometimes oversleeps, but she's always fully committed to her work. Please keep her busy!"
So, why are these top-tier actresses so dedicated?
I don't really believe in the "national character" thing. Having dealt with Japanese agencies for many years, I've seen many managers and actresses who are careless in their work. So, if you say it's because the Japanese have a gene for seriousness, I think it varies from person to person. I believe their dedication is related to their pay—yes, I know no one works for free, but firstly, these top-tier actresses are paid more, so they're more motivated; secondly, they're the agency's face, their promotional tools. The company takes a lower percentage of their pay, and it's very transparent. They can get rich by doing their job well, so of course they'll be more dedicated.
So, are there any actresses who are unprofessional or act like divas? Of course, there are some, but most are mid-to-high-tier A-list actresses. Some are even so awful that when they say "please take care of me," you might wish they were dead. But honestly, whether it's on the TRE stage or in collaborations with manufacturers, even the most unapproachable S-class actresses give their all on stage. I have absolutely no complaints about them.
