At yesterday's photoshoot, many people immediately asked me, "Is Julia retiring?"
It turns out everyone read my previous article about the year-end retirement trend and thought that the big star standing in the middle at the TRE Taipei International Adult Exhibition who decided to retire at the end of the year was Julia. Here, I want to solemnly clarify that the one retiring from AV is not one of those gold-card actresses in white swimsuits. I already announced her retirement at yesterday's photoshoot, so please don't be surprised if you already know!
So Julia is not retiring; on the contrary, she's increasing her overseas activities!
Actually, the change in the agency's attitude over the past two years was noticeable when we invited her to participate in an adult expo in Taiwan. Last year, we spent a lot of time communicating the event details, and at times I even felt like we were being deliberately difficult. But this year, not only were there no obstacles during negotiations, but after she arrived in Taiwan, the agency proactively expressed their willingness to expand cooperation. The event was definitely no problem, and invitations for photoshoots and TV appearances were very welcome. That "keep away" queen-like aura from last year had completely disappeared. Besides her almost obsessive love for watermelon juice, she also got along incredibly well with the translator and makeup artist, adding her on Instagram was no problem at all!
And then she appeared at the JKF Night!
Some people might find it strange that Julia has changed so much.
That's how Japanese people are; before a collaboration, they are incredibly wary, especially given Julia's position in the industry, which is not to be underestimated. So, although we felt the negotiations were about to break down several times, we still persevered with the patience we lacked most. Fortunately, the organizers were very sincere, and the agency had always been interested in the Taiwan market, so they finally managed to bring this most famously voluptuous woman in the industry to Taiwan…
Having had the experience of working together once, it wasn't so difficult to talk to her!

Of course, I still have some honest things to say: First, perhaps the work is too demanding. Even though Julia is often jokingly called "the older she gets," you can still feel the effects of time in the last two years. Second, although her figure remains very strong, it's undeniable that switching from Moodyz to another studio, Wanz Factory... The "Factory" incident is actually a signal; her status is slowly declining amidst competition from two established actresses and a constant stream of new faces.
Therefore, Julia will inevitably pay more and more attention to overseas markets, as that could be key to extending her AV career. I asked her these past few days, and she's okay with photo shoots and isn't too opposed to photo events; it just depends on how we negotiate.
